University Houston is Hiring a Financial Analyst 1 Near Houston, TX
Under general supervision, performs financial analysis activities. Analyzes return, depreciation, and investment rations; profit and loss income statements; and trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial accounting data and documents trends.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis of reports.
- Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepare entries, modifications and analysis.
- Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems and provide technical support.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed .Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess:
- Experience with preparing monthly financial reports and/or account reconciliations.

- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
