Houston, TX Position Overview: Reporting to the General Manager and Area HR Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing support for all HR functions in store. Job Description: Partners with Area HR Manager on employee relations issues and staffing objectives Processes various reports and focuses on the administrative tasks associated with HR reporting, policy, and procedure Acts as a process liaison for employee relations questions and concerns, leaves of absence, paid time off, workers' compensation, etc. Assists with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and provides HR support at the store level Collaborates with other functional groups, including store managers, HR, training, payroll, and benefits Advises store manager on workforce planning Supports in the posting and updating of open positions on internal and external job boards Supports recruiting for the store by developing and maintaining professional relationships with external sources to generate applicant flow, including learning institutions, government agencies, independent organizations, nonprofit agencies, and other employment sources Utilizes recruiting tools and employs talent acquisition strategies to source external candidates by conducting on-site recruiting events and holding job fairs Follows and tracks all aspects of employment, such as completing employment forms and conducting orientations and onboardings Assist with special projects as assignment by management Supports multiple locations Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills Ability to travel to multiple locations Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull, move, lift or carry objects of at least 10 pounds.
