The Grant Manager will partner with the finance team to assist with departmental planning and budgeting and will execute personal deliverables including the tracking of grant results. The Grant Manager will also support program staff, along with managing and successfully meeting all deadlines. The position will help ensure grants are monitored, ongoing requirements are met, and operated in compliance with all related company policies and procedures; in addition to the Uniform Guidance 2 CFR requirements.

Starting Salary $76,731.20 – $95,908.80 Yearly | Depending on Experience.

Grant Manager Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for grant operations
2. Follow procedures to set up new grants including updating reporting and systems.
3. Prepare monthly grant summary reports.
4. Supervise and coach financial liaison staff.
5. Ensure timely and accurate entry of grant data.
6. Ensure grant activity is compliant with UMOS policies and procedures, grant reporting needs, also with federal guidance.
7. Keep up to date on federal, state, and local regulations through continual self-driven research, as well as attending webinars and other appropriate trainings.
8. Oversee the processing all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state and private grant reports.
9. Execute cash draws from funding sources.
10. Coordinate and problem solve regarding grant discrepancies.
11. Develop, implement, and maintain grant accounting operations to include systems, procedures, and policies, to ensure compliance with requirements.
12. Provides accounting assistance to managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns.
13. Establishes an environment of continuous improvement with respect to the efficiency and effectiveness of grant accounting.
14. Direct activities and fiscal responsibilities of assigned financial liaison staff.
    1. Oversight, review, and approve all grant report filings and submissions.
    2. Grant receivable management, paid by grantor and posted to grants receivable account.
    3. Oversight all duties of the Financial Liaison I and provide training and assistant where needed.
    4. Oversight of grant monitoring reviews and acts as a liaison and coordinate all requested information needed to monitor the program.
15. Other duties as assigned appropriate to the position for achieving company objectives.

Grant Manager Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
2. Six or more years of accounting experience
3. Grant experience required.
4. One or more years of leadership experience preferred.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
6. Working knowledge, experience, utilizing computer software applications using Microsoft Office, financial accounting software (SAGE experience a plus), and other customary desktop programs
7. Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles.
8. Ability to work both independently and to work collaboratively in teams.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workload.
11. Experience working in the not-for-profit industry is strongly preferred.
12. Able to travel and work irregular hours occasionally and ability to work overtime as needed.
