The products are produced, unitized, and stored at the facility for shipment to various Distribution Centers and customers throughout the United States and Canada. Under the direction of the Senior Quality Manager, this position defines and drives the sanitation agenda for the site, ensuring that all sanitation objectives, goals and targets are met. The Senior Sanitation Manager develops and tracks the departments budget and eliminate sanitation related losses. The role conducts regular plan-do-act-check assessment to plan how sanitation and pest control targets will be met, executing the sanitation plan and periodically checking and taking action to stay on track. As a people leader, the role is responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant sanitation objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members. How you will contribute Collaborate with Senior Quality Manager and cross-functional team (AM, PM, QM, IIM) to define and drive the sanitation plan for the site and aligning resources across departments to support execution. Accountable for spearheading plant-wide sanitation and pest control initiatives, with a primary focus on developing and implementing robust sanitation policies and procedures. Manage sanitation budget, including managing expenses, forecasting costs, and optimizing resources (people, vendors, chemical, equipment) for effective sanitation operations Provides expert guidance to operations, sanitation and EHS personnel in the development of sanitation systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices across all lines, ensuring consistent adherence to sanitation policies. Conduct comprehensive analysis of sanitation data and trends, using Six Sigma methodologies, to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures to drive efficiency, streamline sanitation processes and eliminate waste Lead the design and execution of sanitation validation protocols, utilizing data-driven approaches to continually enhance efficacy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sanitation considerations into facility planning, equipment selection, and process design Manage chemical control systems, including procurement, inventory management, and safe handling practices, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impact Drive initiatives to optimize resource utilization, including labor, sanitation supplies, chemicals, and waste management processes Partner with vendors to evaluate and procure sanitation equipment, supplies, and chemicals, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring quality standards are met What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Experience with Sanitation Systems in a Food Processing Plant or Pharma Project management and managing multiple priorities. Communicating effectively and leading cross-functional teams Statistical processes and problem-solving techniques Knowledge of GMP, allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal direction. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills to act as a liaison. Possess problem solving skills Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field. Job specific requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a sanitation manager, quality manager, quality engineer.
