U.S. Marshals Service is Hiring an Executive Assistant Near Arlington, VA

Duties

As a Executive Assistant at the GS-0301-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Serving as the Executive Assistant to a USMS Senior Executive Service member and their Deputy.
  • Maintaining knowledge of key personnel and lines of authority within the USMS to effectively manage administrative activities and the flow of information.
  • Utilizing judgment and discretion in determining intent, and in interpreting existing policy and regulatory guidance for use by others in the Division.
  • Utilizing Federal travel regulations to arrange and prepare travel.
  • Providing advice and assistance to Senior Executive's

Qualifications

GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0301-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing executive administrative support functions such as records management, communications, directives, and documentation; 2) Establishing schedules for recurring events that are essential for completion of timely staff actions; 3) Researching, developing, and preparing documents, speeches, position papers, and briefings for Senior Executive's use in meetings, briefings, and social functions; 4) Utilizing federal travel and transportation regulations to make travel arrangements, prepare itineraries, and prepare travel vouchers for senior level officials; and 5) Establishing, receiving, screening, and maintaining Senior level officials schedule of appointments, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
