U.S. Department of Justice is Hiring a Supervisory Program Manager Near Detroit, MI

Summary
These positions are located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Detroit and Philadelphia Field Divisions.
The position's primary purpose is to support the Business Operations Program (BOP) within the respective DEA Field Division. The BOP consists of functions/matters related to Administration, Human Resources, Financial Resources, Procurement, Property, Fleet and Inventory, Security, and Task Force Management.

As a Supervisory Program Manager/Business Operation Chief, typical work assignments may include:
Providing the delegated authority, leadership, management and strategic vision necessary to ensure that the Domestic Division has the proper Business Operations Program (BOP) policies, procedures, and systems in place.
Providing administrative and financial support to complete the Division and Special Agent In Charge (SAC)'s mission.
Managing all BOP activities, to include general services functions and financial and procurement functions.
Facilitating the development of short and long-range BOP plans to support the Division's goals and objectives.
Mentoring as a cornerstone to the career development program.
Acts as a liaison with internal and external organizations and headquarters.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: 1) Managing the operations programs related to policies, procedures, and systems supporting administrative and financial organization's objectives; 2) Planning, to include tracking and reporting on accomplishments of program, goals and milestones that determine program efficiency; 3) Providing technical direction to subordinate employees on work to be accomplished; 4) Resolving complex and highly controversial issues and problems; 5) Assessing efficiency of the programs through studies, data collection and data analysis; 6) Developing metrics for analyzing production data to assess program performance and effectiveness; and, 7) Monitoring progress toward achieving strategic organizational goals, and evaluating, and implementing action plans to improve program performance.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
