Job Overview
TuSimple’s Receptionist is the first person to greet both internal and external clients each morning. They support a wide range of employees and leaders throughout the organization
In this role, the Receptionist is responsible for providing a welcoming experience, coordinating visitors, preparing some documentation, reports, and conducting ad-hoc analysis. They will support the seamless flow of office operations. This is a temporary position that may continue for 4-6 months or longer as needed.
Opportunity, Responsibilities, & Mission
Provides superior guest services by welcoming all guests and employees arriving with a smile, offering assistance or guidance with their needs, and answering questions.
Owns front desk responsibilities and maintains a consistent presence at reception.
Maintains an organized and clean reception area.
Coordinates visitor management process, including meals/catering, meeting room reservations and set up, and the sign-in process.
Ensures all employees and guests understand and follow appropriate security procedures.
Welcomes new hires and supports the new hire onboarding process.
Facilitates onsite parking by processing parking transponders and validation requests.
Assists with shipping and receiving of packages, and distributing incoming mail and packages to the appropriate parties.
Assists with basic clerical or facility tasks and requests, as assigned.
Assists with employee engagement by supporting the team in hosting events and celebrations.
Experience & Skills - Required
1-2 year of clerical or administrative experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to drive amazing customer experiences and results through team development.
Ability to structure and develop thoughtful and practical recommendations driven by fact-based analysis.
Ability to independently develop presentations for communication with team members.
Ability to stay organized when managing multiple projects with varying priorities.
Proven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with diplomatically managing multiple commitments to customers, staff, and operations.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs.
Ability to lift up to 45lbs on a regular basis.
