Truckstop is Hiring a Remote Senior People & Culture Business Partner

Position Summary: 

Our People & Culture Business Partner (PCBP) utilizes a strong understanding of the business and operational objectives along with a broad HR knowledge and exceptional judgment. In this role you will work with department leaders setting priorities, driving values, and delivering results that align with Truckstop’s business and people strategies. In this role you will champion our culture and play an integral part in developing our partners. You will serve as a coach, mentor, change agent and a strategic partner for the business.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Establish and foster collaborative, credible and trusting internal relationships, demonstrating the value of P&C as a consistent, knowledgeable, and trusted “go-to” resource
  • Lead P&C discussions during departmental team meetings to align key people and business strategies
  • Partner with business leaders to build talent strategy to help guide and implement organizational design changes to support business transformation
  • Help drive initiatives regarding culture, organizational change, engagement, and organizational effectiveness
  • Provide feedback and advice in the selection and placement of internal and external talent
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to all levels of management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Work closely with management and partners to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Be a role model leader and an advocate of change, building organizational trust and promoting a positive workplace culture, partnering, and communicating with leadership on trends
  • Execute our talent strategy through training, consultation and support the performance management process 
  • Analyze HR data to enable data driven decision making
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to managers and employees
  • Manage and resolves complex partner relations issues
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as applicable
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of Partners, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is desirable, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years Human Resources operations and employment law experience is required, preferably in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • 5 years supporting sales, marketing, and support departments
  • Experience with working with various levels of non-exempt roles is a plus
  • HR certification is preferred, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
