Truckstop is Hiring a Remote Senior People & Culture Generalist

Position Summary:

As a Senior People & Culture Generalist, you will be responsible for various administrative, analytic and HR functions, Partner relations, HRIS, Immigration, training, and compliance. You will work in tandem with a team of P&C professionals and Business Partners, managing people and administrative initiatives that meet our business and people objectives. An inquisitive mind, and ability to ask difficult questions while challenging the status quo is imperative for the role. In this role, you will help develop and implement people solutions and processes that scale using innovation in tools and systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist and support the Business Partner and P&C team on a variety of initiatives, from answering day to day general questions, challenging the status quo, proactive Partner coaching through difficult situations 
  • Build strong relationships that reinforce P&C as a key support mechanism and a resource for improvements across the organization
  • Assist in developing various P&C analytics that tracks overall people and & business performance strategies
  • Own and liaise with legal and provide proactive management and support for Partners needing assistance with immigrations and the sponsorship process
  • Continually assess, streamline, and optimize processes to better scale P&C operations utilizing data driven decision making, continually implement improved and streamlined P&C processes
  • Work in tandem with Business Partners as a coach and mediator on Partner relations challenges
  • Oversee and manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, creating a positive and professional experience for our Partners 
  • Oversee the development, responses, and maintenance for the P&C AI interface as well as promote, support, and educate Partners on Partner systems and processes 
  • Support the implementation of varied P&C projects enabling successful delivery of the P&C strategy
  • Works closely with the payroll team on bi-weekly updates and changes 
  • Manage all unemployment, workers compensation and compliance reporting ensuring adherence with federal and state laws
  • Manage the flow and accuracy of P&C related information on internal sites, and our HRIS, including compliance, data entry, retrieval, and generation of P&C related reports
  • Maintain up-to date knowledge on a variety of P&C topics, such as: Immigration, Individual State laws, Federal laws, E-Verify, Fair Labor Standard Act, Minimum Wage, Overtime, Equal Pay, General Human Resource Practices (Federal and State specific), Documentation (I-9, W-4, etc.)
  • Maintain Partner files and records in electronic form

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is preferred
  • A minimum of five years as an HR generalist that understands HR best practices and processes, HR/ Payroll related regulations, employment laws, compliance, and regulations
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, (UKG and Greenhouse preferred) and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • A minimum of two years working with legal counsel while supporting Partners through the sponsorship process is preferred
