Tripalink is Hiring a Property Manager Near Chicago, IL

HireArt is helping a growing property management/development company hire an experienced Property Manager to manage regular move-in/move-out flow. In this role, you will check units, collect tenant information, send notices, handle deposits, manage work orders and complete other ad-hoc duties as needed.
The ideal candidate has 2 years of previous experience managing multiple apartment buildings simultaneously. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, along with strong attention to detail. This person is also capable of using Appfolio and various management or accounting software.
As Property Manager, you will:
  • Manage regular move-in and move-out flow including checking units, collecting tenants' information, explaining move-in instructions, sending notices and managing deposits based on inspection.
  • Operate Appfolio system to manage customer data, maintenance requests, contracts and other related issues in the renting process before/after the tenants move in.
  • Assign work orders and assist maintenance technicians with inspecting properties, supervising repairs and maintaining property units, including common areas and amenities, to fulfill tenants requests.
  • Communicate with the landlord and advance the completion of maintenance/repair progress with the vendors.
  • Occasionally visit different properties to ensure all sites/communities are maintained properly and identify any potential problems.
  • Establish responsive communication and good relationships with tenants by investigating and resolving their complaints.
  • Write, edit emails and make phone calls to vendors, owners and other organizations, to discuss/schedule minor construction issues and other projects.
  • 2 years of property management experience managing multiple apartment buildings at the same time
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Capable of operating Appfolio and various management/accounting software
  • Capable of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capable of visiting different sites to perform inspections and regularly communicate with tenants
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including report writing skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
