PeopleShare is recruiting for an IT Service Desk Technician to support a Nonprofit Organization in Philadelphia!
Job Selling points for IT Service Desk Technician in Philadelphia:
  • $20.00 - $23.50 per hour
  • Contract to Hire
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (With Paid Lunch Included)
Job Responsibilities for IT Service Desk Technician in Philadelphia:
  • Respond to incoming requests for technical assistance from either phone or the IT Service Desk portal.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Help with basic network connectivity issues and account access problems.
  • Assists users in setting up and configuring new equipment and software.
  • Perform routine hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs as needed.
  • Log and track all user incidents and service requests in the IT service management system.
  • Prioritize and categorize incidents based on severity and impact.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all service requests, incidents, and solutions within the IT service management system.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles to assist users with common issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates and patches.
  • Provide basic training to users on software applications and IT best practices.
Job Requirements for IT Service Desk Technician in Philadelphia:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or at least 3 years related work experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years proven experience in an IT service desk or information systems role
  • Hands-on experience in resolving technical issues
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
  • IT Certifications (CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
