Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

TRC is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and have 5-10 years of environmental investigation and remediation consulting experience. TRC's New York City office is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment in the heart of Manhattan, and provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in an office that thrives on team-work.

• Perform project management from the proposal phase though project completion including Client and or Regulator communication, subcontractor coordination and subcontracting, staffing, scheduling, financial tracking, and invoicing.
• Management and preparation of Indoor Air Quality Investigations, Community Air Monitoring Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and other environmental assessments and investigations.
• Technical proficiency in preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESA Work Plans, Phase II ESA Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, Feasibility Study Reports, Remedial Design Documents, and Site Management Plans and Reports.
• Preparation of detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for implementation of the work.
• Manage interdisciplinary project teams.

Required skills:

• Demonstrates ability to work from home and excel in an unsupervised work environment.
• Understanding of standards, regulations and guidance that apply to environmental investigation and remediation, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and New York City Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation
• Demonstrates ability to lead, train, and motivate project teams.
• Demonstrates ability to prepare proposals, develop business, and nurture client relationships.
• Demonstrates excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles.
• Strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews.
• Ability to manage time and coordinate and manage multiple projects and Clients.
• Working knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Exposure to environmental consulting work in New York City a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required experience:

• S. or B.A. in environmental science, geology or engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of environmental consulting experience with project management experience. Experience managing staff a plus.
• New York State Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or goal of attaining PG, PE, or CHMM a plus.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER and 10-hr Construction certification would be a plus.
• Valid Driver's License.

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $90,000-$116,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
