Redhoek+ is Hiring a Project Manager Near New York, NY

Redhoek is looking for a full time Project Manager to join our team! As Project Manger you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems as well as participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization and management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Work with project executives and confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes or additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing.

Knowledge:

  • Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.
  • Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • The practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Use of logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work and identifying the best people for the job.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to monitor/assess the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Ability to bring others together and reconcile differences.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Good at listening to and understand information and ideas presented through verbal or written means.
  • Good verbal communicate of information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience related to construction project management, design, finance and management required
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes / standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Project management:5 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
