Position Details:
This is a part-time, contractual position, working Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Compensation will be based on the qualifications of applicant.
Location:
This is a REMOTE opportunity in the United States. Candidate must reside in the US and be work authorized. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transcard is seeking a professional Technical Writer for project-based work. This individual will be responsible for creating the content for a thought leadership piece / research paper based on interview and survey results.
· Take part in interviews with financial and payment industry leaders to create content for print and web publications.
· Leverage an investigative journalist mindset to interview internal and external partners.
· Gather information and be well-informed about upcoming market events to predict forthcoming market trends.
· Research current payments and financial market trends and outcomes to create engaging content.
· Produce educational or marketing content by consulting with internal and external clients.
· Create and maintain documents and information about the payments and financial industry in an array of formats.
· Use SEO (search engine optimization) best practices while creating content.
Requirements
· 10 years of experience writing articles, publications, papers, etc., preferably within the financial services industry.
· Must be well-versed in various financial topics and accustomed to describing financial markets, products, and economic activity in an easy-to-read manner.
· Experience in the finance industry and a portfolio of published content working with institutions from various business segments: Financial institutions, News and media outlets, Publishing houses.
· Writing and publishing (or helping to have published) in transaction banking, payments, treasury management or related fields is preferred.
· Strong project management, written, and oral communication skills.
Education and/or Certifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Journalism, or Technical Writing preferred or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
