Position Details:

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Compensation will be based on the qualifications of applicant.

Location: 

This is a REMOTE opportunity in the United States. Candidate must reside in the US and be work authorized. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The primary role of the SVP – Business Development for the Insurance segment is to lead in accelerating growth through prospects, key customer accounts and strategic partners within Transcard’s Insurance Division. This role will report directly to the EVP of Enterprise Treasury in conjunction with the Segment Lead of Insurance. The ideal candidate will understand financial services and have a strong business acumen.

· Identify potential clients and pre-qualify prospective opportunities.

· Promoting financial services products utilizing consultative business development skills.

· Understand existing and maintain knowledge of emerging financial service technologies and solutions.

· Execute outbound calls, use networking platforms to build partnerships and expand customer base.

· Maintain and manage strategic relationships with prospects and key accounts to allow the business to maximize the value of those relationships.

· Strong ability to listen and address pain-points while providing a solution driven approach.

· Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations to accelerate Transcard’s business development initiatives.

· Lead responses to RFP’s/RFIs with the highest quality of written and verbal presentation skills.

· Demo products when appropriate during the business development cycle.

· Effectively communicate with prospects, key customer accounts and strategic partners on a regular basis and respond to specific queries.

· Comfortable and experienced in facing off with C-suite executives as well as other levels within large, complex organizations.

· Handle client issues and problems in an extremely timely and effective manner, always putting clients as a priority.

· Support documentation and tracking business development activities including internal pipeline and call report communications in Transcard’s CRM (HubSpot).

· Collaborate with multiple teams to address prospect and customer questions and objectives.

· Produce forecasts and performance tracking metrics.

· Give market insights, feedback and opportunity input to internal teams including Product, IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing; be the voice of the prospect and client.

· Receive the highest level of coaching and mentorship to gain experience within a fast-paced, growth oriented fintech.

· Participate in Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering as well as other risk and compliance training as required.

Requirements

· 10 years of business development and / or relationship management experience.

· 5 years of experience in financial services, financial technology and/or the payments industry. Insurance payment knowledge is preferred.

· Business development experience in a B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) environment. 

· Hands on experience with CRM software systems such as HubSpot.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Devotion to high-quality customer service 

· Demonstrated consultative business development approach.

· Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

· The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and being able to tailor message for specific audiences.

· Cultural dexterity, maturity, and ability to influence beyond role or title. 

· The ability to balance multiple competing deliverables and prioritize as required.

Education and/or Certifications: 

· Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
