Central Business Solutions is Hiring a Technical Writer Near Atlanta, GA

Position Role/Tile: Technical Writer
Location: Atlanta, GA.

Under general supervision, the Technical Writer will develop documentation for system applications, procedures, and processes.
The Technical Writer will also be responsible for all aspects of writing Requests for Information and/or Requests for Proposals for technical systems maintenance and/or replacements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops technical documentation for applications and system process to support procurement and other agency needs by working with business and technical staff.
Gathers, analyzes, organizes, and composes complex technical information
Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology
Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and nontechnical personnel
Organizes material and writes descriptive copy according to establish standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
Provides necessary artifacts to support the technical documentation (designs, photographs, etc.) as applicable
Develops communications materials for publications, internet, strategic initiatives, user manuals, training materials, installation guides, white papers, reports, etc.
Develops, writes, and edits functional descriptions, system specifications, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents
Provides technical writing support and deciphers directions provided on scripted storyboards, specifications, etc.
Reviews documents for technical accuracy in accordance with applicable regulations
Core Competencies:
Technical writing skills as demonstrated through previous work experience and/ or formal education
Excellent oral, written, analytical, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational management skills
Excellent critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be self-motivated
Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience in technical writing
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience.
Master's degree in Technical Writing, Curriculum Design, Communications or Business Administration or a related field from an approved, accredited college or university AND two (2) year experience in technical writing
OR
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Curriculum Design, Communications or Business Administration or a related field from an approved, accredited college or university AND two (2) year experience in technical writing
