TOPPAN MERRILL LLC is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner Near New York, NY

Job Description: About the Role: The Human Resources Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to locations throughout the US. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives as well as providing great internal customer support - driving HR functional excellence and efficiencies across the organization as well as ensuring standards are aligned and being executed consistent with key initiatives and business strategy. A key member of the Global HR Team and Management Teams What You’ll Do: Provide counsel to Managers by proactively identifying issues and opportunities with available metrics, acting to drive initiatives and execute action plans to drive performance. Partner with Managers on the local talent management strategy for the geographic area of responsibility, focusing on attracting and retaining internal talent (including succession planning/talent management), and supporting the recruiting strategy as may be required. Partner with managers and employees to conduct regular training sessions. Consult and counsel and proactively coach managers regarding compensation in preparing new hire salary recommendations and in the annual pay review process. Coach, counsel, and proactively manage employee questions. Recommend, lead and/or participate in team, departmental or cross-functional projects. Provide guidance and enable managers and employees to deliver an exceptional service experience. Responsibilities may change as business requirements change. About You: Well-versed in Federal and state employment law and leave policies administration. Must be able to understand overarching laws to effectively partner with management and employees to understand their role in ensuring legal and internal policy compliant leave practices. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and state employment labor laws, regulations, and principles. Strong influencer, collaborator, problem solver, change agent, data-based decision maker. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with strong written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; PHR/SPHR preferred 5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources generalist role supporting a blended exempt/non-exempt workforce of 200 employees preferably in a non-durable goods manufacturing and service environment.
