Titan Technologies is Hiring a Test Engineer Lead Near Reston, VA

Description:

Titan Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Testing Lead to support a federal contract with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). In this role you will lead a team of functional and automation testers in an Agile development environment to ensure complete, end to end testing for software releases to a mission critical software application. Testing methodology includes Unit, Acceptance, Regression, Load, Performance testing. Create and execute Test Plans and utilize Test Driven Development. The Test Lead will report directly to the Program Manager and will work closely with Agile Development leads to plan and execute test requirements.

Hybrid position with frequent visits to Reston area secured facility for classified meetings. Reston, VA Office location and DIA SCIF.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of automation testing including framework design, development, scripting, and test execution using automation tools such as selenium and open-source tools.
  • Plan, manage, and provide technical oversight for testing activities. Generate and provide feedback on test status, test progress, and product quality, as well as process quality. Ensure that tested components are compliant with standards and requirements.
  • Implement and update the Agile test strategy. Work with Product Owners to define acceptance criteria and the definition of done. Measure and report test coverage across all applicable coverage dimensions.
  • Review user stories and create test cases, test scripts and test suites fore execution. Report defects and work with the team to resolve them. Ensure the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during release and iteration planning.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness. Participate in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements.
  • Analyze and identify suitable opportunities for test automation. Design automation components/modules that can be leveraged across multiple test scripts using a standard automation framework. Develop automation components/modules using appropriate tools and programming languages. Create and configure jobs in Jenkins to run automated tests.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 9 years IT testing and/or software development experience providing comprehensive business and technical solutions including but not limited to acceptance, functional, exploratory, regressions, and backend database testing on multiple platforms and environments; defect management; writing test plans and test reports.
  • 3 years test automation experience using tools such as selenium. Extensive knowledge and understanding of industry best practices for delivering and supporting both Agile and Waterfall System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Must have analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
  • Experience in using quality control processes to ensure that products, deliverables, and data are standardized and accurate.
  • Experience with web services/API testing and load testing.

 Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required. 

Preferred:

Professional Test Certification such as:

  • Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
  • Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
  • Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; An active or recent TS/SCI/CI poly required or recent/active TS and willingness to obtain SCI/CI Poly.

Place of Performance:

Reston, VA Office location and DIA SCIF. Hybrid position with frequent visits to Reston area secured facility for classified meetings.
