Tire Agent is Hiring a Remote Business Development Manager

Position Summary

Tire Agent is looking for a Business Development Manager to help the business launch a new 3P focused ecommerce marketplace and achieve aggressive growth goals in 2023 and beyond. The Business Development Manager cultivates a sales pipeline mix of high value and transactional accounts, recruits and launches small, medium and established businesses to sell their products on our furniture, mattress, and large appliance marketplace and manages the portfolio to grow their sales exponentially.

General Responsibilities

  • Lead our e-commerce business development with a focus on building key customer relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Research, identify, and analyze potential new clients (brands, retailers and wholesalers) with familiarity in furniture, mattress, and large appliances direct to consumer ecommerce marketplaces. 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our e-commerce competitive environment including knowledge of competitive product offerings.
  • Maintain a full sales funnel, constantly moving prospective clients along and forecasting estimated number of contracts and contract timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing and payment terms to maximize profits and sales volume.
  • Coordinate with internal team members, such as the Customer Success Specialists, who will onboard new clients to the organization’s ecommerce marketplace.
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continuously build relationships.
  • Handle a high volume of engagement by regularly contacting new and existing customers to discuss needs.

Ideal Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales/business development experience preferably in the ecommerce furniture, mattress, and appliance industries
  • Experience in deal negotiation and partnership development is required
  • A proven track record of selling and building credible relationships
  • High comfort level cold-calling prospective clients
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with lease-to-own financing payment options preferred

US-based, hybrid or remote. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary: 60-100k total compensation
