Tidewater Restaurant Group is Hiring a Head Chef Near Newport, VA

Tidewater Restaurant group is a small, fast-casual restaurant group with a focus on fresh ingredients and local produce. We are looking for an Executive Chef to lead our team and set the table for a great dining experience.

The Chef will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee all food and beverage production in the kitchen, including menu development, planning, preparation and cooking.
  • Maintain a menu that meets company standards for variety, freshness, and quality.
  • Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner following the recipes, steps and procedures outlined in the recipe books.
  • Ensure that all dishes are presented properly to customers and that customers are satisfied with their dining experiences.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and ready for use according to company standards.
  • Run food and labor cost at or below goals set by upper management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary procedures, methods, and equipment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling.
