Position Description

Sprezzatura seeks a Help Desk Technician to join our expanding team. The Help Desk Technician identifies, researches, and resolves routine technical problems. Provides support to end users for basic computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues. Being a Help Desk Technician documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools. Responds to telephone, email, and online requests for technical support. In addition, Help Desk Technician may coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems for the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) Information Technology Operation Support Services. 

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing input and support contractual deliverables including Contractor Project Management Plan (CPMP), Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Status Reports, Quarterly Status Reports as well as Assessment reports completed during the line of work. Will be required to attend meeting with Government personnel as required.
  • Technical Support. Provide and support on-site support to Government personnel and equipment. Responsible for ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and maintained through the contract. If not met, responsible for creating and delivering Action Plans to ensure resolution is achieved.
  •  Provide user provisioning support, creating network accounts for logical access in support of new hire onboarding. User Provisioning provides network access, email account and address, and network shared drive assignment. (This will be their sole job function.) Provide tier 1 and 2 support to personnel on-site and remote by responding to trouble tickets and tracking SLAs. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school/GED required 
  • Must possess the Department of Veterans Affairs Tier 2 / MBI security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain clearance. **Please note: Candidates who currently possess the required clearance will be considered as priority**

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and customers at geographically [globally] dispersed sites are essential. 
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. 
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 
  • Location: Washington DC (on site)
  • Veteran Preference: Yes. 
  • Citizenship/Security: Citizen/Green Card. Must be able to hold a federal security clearance.
