Position at Thrive Pet Healthcare

** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **
Job Summary:
 
As a Vetspire Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and to deliver high-quality software products that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth. 
The Product Manager will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the team make good technology decisions. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our Vetspire product alongside the product business analysts. 
This individual will Manage the business analysts team to impose their energy towards meeting each projects milestone. This includes interviewing stakeholders, gathering, and compiling user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need.

  • Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact

Leading with Your Heart 
  • Collaborate with program sponsors to determine project scope and vision
  • Drive successful communications, change, and implementation through recognized change management methodologies
  • Drive alignment on what the top priorities are for each team and their needs
  • Planning your resources by knowing the team’s strengths and weaknesses, together and individually
  • Perspective around individual and team’s skills and knowledge to ensure end success.
  • Recommend and take action where needed
  • Successful product management means to assemble and manage challenges and to make a fine-tuned plan including leaning in where team members need guidance, training or coaching
  • As Product Manager set team members and projects up for success
Leading With Your Hands 
  • Creating project plans by gathering user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
  • Participate in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized
  • Develop and utilize standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
  • Participate in the selection of any requirements documentation that the organization may opt to use and serve as a bridge between technology solutions and business strategy, offering insights and recommendations to support decision making
  • Participate in testing of new apps, integrations, and new modules of Vetspire
  • Keep leaders informed with regular awareness reporting
Key Qualifications: 
  • 3 years of successful Product Management and projects of a dynamic nature
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in the software industry
  • Driven and supported change management methodologies and communication plans
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts
  • Knowledge and experience of internal business and operational medical practices of a veterinary hospital
  • Strong technical background and familiarity with relevant technologies/platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Diplomatic approach to handling conflicts and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in managing relationships with vendors and external partners
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
