STATUS: Exempt

WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 9-5pm M-F (open to some flexibility)

WORK LOCATION: Buford, GA, some travel involved to Bedford, MA and Hampton, FL as needed

POSITION PURPOSE: 

Reporting to the Sr. IT Operations Manager, the Service Desk Engineer will provide Level I and some level II IT Infrastructure support for 125 users in a Windows, AzureAD, and Microsoft365 environment. As part of the IT Infrastructure and Operations team support will be provided to all Thermacell associates based at locations in Bedford, MA, 2 locations in Buford, GA, as well as a small LAB Facility in Hampton, FL. Additionally supporting employees working remotely. Help Desk and Technology support responsibilities include Windows, VPN, NAS infrastructure, Active Directory, cloud storage, MS Exchange, and some network security. This position will also include working on projects that revolve around working to find creative solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Configure new computers (Windows PC’s with O365, Outlook, Teams, BitLocker, MFA, etc.)
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests / N-Able SpiceWorks Ticketing app
  • Assist in the technology onboarding of new hires – including acclimation to technology tools
  • Ongoing group and individual training on company provided technology tools
  • Provide technical assistance for various locations in-person or remotely, as needed
  • Maintain the hardware asset inventory (MS Access) database

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an annual incentive bonus program-details proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 10 paid company holidays. Additionally, a company shut-down period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Forty hours of sick time is also available on your first day of employment.

You may start contributing to our 401k after completing 30 days of service (enrolling on the first of the following month). You will be eligible for the employer match up to 4% (base salary overtime wages - subject to the IRS legal limit) after completing one year of service.

Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 yrs equivalent related experience required 
  • 2 years supporting Windows environments, AzureAD, O365, Microsoft Teams, Windows 11, MSExchange, Sophos, VPN, OneDrive, SharePoint, as well Hosted VoIP services
  • 2 years of application support experience and client interaction
  • Good foundation of security best practices, Bitlocker, Windows Global Policies, MFA
  • Some travel required <10%
  • Good problem-solving skills and excellent time management
