We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist with experience in manufacturing to optimize our financial management procedures. The successful candidate will have a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, a team player, and possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management both verbally and in writing.

The Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist will support the Controller with all accounting functions for the company, such as A/R, A/P, processing of payments and invoices, monthly sales tax filings, etc. A strong candidate has experience working in a similar role and a proven track record of working effectively within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily tasks related to accounts receivable, including processing invoices, posting payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment inquiries, and billing discrepancies.
• Perform daily tasks related to accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Processing invoices due for payments by comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges for accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to accounts receivable/payable.
• Monitor bank balances and transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the controller

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Advance proficiency in accounting/expensing software and excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
