Position Summary
The Development Director is responsible for coordinating and implementing the organization's fundraising strategies to support The Road Home's ability to provide supportive services and housing assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Duties include donor cultivation, direct appeals, event planning, and working in partnership with the financial development staff and the Development Committee of the board of directors. This role requires someone passionate about helping connect people who are able to bring resources to the organization, and someone who is a natural relationship builder. Prior experience in fundraising would be valuable, bringing organized processes to retain the large base of generous current supporters and build new fiscal community donors and partners to make a huge difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Dane County.
