Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the following activities:
The Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department’s Toll Revenue Collection Group is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will bring a thorough understanding of business analytics, front-end data reporting, and business intelligence tools to support actionable findings.
- Data Analysis and Monitoring Vendor Performance
- Compile and analyze data. Identify concerns from data found. Build reports.
- Make recommendations to improve the tolling program.
- Maintain and expand data visualizations in PowerBi.
- Track and validate vendor Service Level Agreements and internal metrics and calculate damages.
- Conduct quality management processes.
Financial Analysis:
- Compile and validate invoices.
- Monitor spending.
- Assist with developing the annual unit budget.
Other:
- Research and provide timely responses to inquiries from Audit.
- Manage user access to NYCSC related portals and Oracle.
- Collaborate with contract staff and partner government agencies as appropriate.
- Support transition to the new CSC Back-Office
- Other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
- Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Analysis, Finance, Business Analytics, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related field or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of drafting reports and management summaries.
- Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Expert knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative to self-learn and improve knowledge of analytical tools and implement those learnings.
Desired:
Ideal candidates will present the following profile:
- Experience creating Dashboards using various BI tools.
- Experience with MS Power Automate.
- Experience with SQL, including SQL tuning and advanced SQL queries using Oracle.
- Experience in data management, accounting, contract management, and/or customer service.
- Working knowledge of multiple database types and reporting technologies.
