The Mom Project is Hiring a Remote Localization Project Coordinator

We are seeking a Localization Project Coordinator on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The candidate in this role will deliver a great user experience to the company's international audience, and this role will gain experience and make an impact in a fast-growing organization. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Seattle, WA, and Menlo Park, CA . What You’ll Do: Plan and manage localization schedules, collaborating cross-functionally with other Localization Program Managers, Vendor Managers, Localization Vendors, and Linguists to define requirements and manage timelines Support the Localization Program Management team with the execution of a variety of projects, mostly for Product user interface (UI), Marketing, and Support content Use and navigate proprietary content management system (CMS) and Project Management tool independently to kick off translation requests to proprietary Computer-aided translation (CAT) tools Analyze current pain points in workflows and tools, provide suggestions for improvements, and pilot implementation of new processes Responsible for the end-to-end localization process of product UI and content within CMS and proprietary CAT tools Set up, submit, and monitor translation requests through proprietary CMS and Project Management tools and follow through in proprietary CAT tools Brief linguists by providing them with documentation and context and escalate questions about the UI/content to Localization Program Managers or Engineers Ensure content is translated on time and tested appropriately, and follow up with Localization Vendors Manage Localization Quality Assurance (QA) testing on product UI for high visibility and complex features by collaborating effectively with Localization Program Managers as well as internationalization (i18n) testing and localization vendor partners to: Create QA test plans and ensure complete coverage of end-to-end UI flows during testing Monitor and address feature-specific queries from testers and linguists Validate the quality of reports to ensure accurate and complete data logging Validate and escalate i18n bugs, and work with engineering teams to ensure timely fixes before a feature launch by following platform release schedules Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, across multiple business units, by setting clear expectations for stakeholders and localizers Communicate instructions in a clear and timely manner Provide reference material and support for the localizers to ensure they are in the best conditions to produce high-quality content Make independent decisions and work well under pressure in the face of ambiguity and aggressive deadlines Must-Haves: 2 years of relevant work experience Experience in managing localization projects from planning to launch Strong technical problem-solving and bugs investigation skills Ability to communicate cross-functionally to diverse stakeholders Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of internationalization and localization standards and best practices Understanding of mobile operating systems Experience working with remote teams in different time zones Project management skills- meet timelines and deadlines Ability to understand the root cause of an issue Knowledge of the localization cycle Experience with SQL is desired Ability to understand the localization needs and challenges for Right-to-left language (RTL), Indic, and African languages preferred Experience with localization platforms, file formats, and CAT tools or any similar in-house localization tools and platforms that manage and/or automate the translation workflow preferred Relevant experience in software localization, localization program management, or management of localization technology solutions preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree is preferred Hours & Location: M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
