The Medical Resort is Hiring a Business Office Manager Near Houston, TX

Business Office Director
Responsible for the overall accurate entry payroll, accounts payable and receivable for independent, assisted living, and memory care communities. Community contact for human resources, payroll, and coordinating with applicable human resource representative. Maintains positive professional relations with employees, residents, and family members.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Salaried, Full-time Exempt
This position is on the director on duty rotation.
REPONSIBILITIES:
Confidentiality:
  • Understands responsibility to maintain confidentiality with financial records, employee payroll, and resident issues.
  • Discusses and reports issues/conflicts, as appropriate to Executive Director.
  • Team Member interaction to resolve employee issues/concerns.
  • Support onboarding and orientation tasks for new hires.
Financial:
  • Entry of all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Backup-New Hire Paperwork and other payroll related paperwork.
  • Process reservation deposits and refunds.
  • Process Expense Reports.
  • Office Supply Orders.
  • Order employee nametags.
  • Order resident door sliders.
  • Maintain organized and complete resident and employee files.
  • Resident Focus
  • Create timely, accurate resident billing statements to avoid concerns.
  • Resolve billing questions timely and satisfactorily.
  • Record keeping:
  • Accurate, organized records of all financial, human resources, service, and safety/risk management related information.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledgable about Medicaid pending
  • Accounts payables
  • Account Receiables
  • Bank deposits
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least one year of bookkeeping experience, preferably in multi-family or senior housing industries or equivalent experience and education.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Experience processing payroll and related paperwork.
  • Experience with human resources and benefits paperwork.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
  • Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
  • Ability to work within strict timelines.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • All general staffing requirements:
  • Free of communicable disease
  • Able to physically/mentally perform tasks.
  • Criminal record clearance
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • General understanding of the needs of the seniors
  • Willingness to learn.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent walking, sitting, and standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance and is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell Activity level is high.
