Job Overview

The Littleton Group is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for an experienced insurance claims call center professional responsible for receiving inbound calls from customers and input claim details into the Claims Administration System. Reporting to the TPA Operations manager, you will play a crucial role in the insurance industry. Employing your analytical and communication skills, manage file claims correspondence, respond to telephone calls and requests for information. This role is a full-time, in-office, salary based position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and claimants throughout the claims process
  • Receive inbound calls from customers and input claim details into the Claims Administration System
  • Prepare other general form related correspondence
  • File claims correspondence
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to requests for information
  • Proactively notify management of any issues or developments that may impact the underlying claim
  • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years clerical experience, proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Call Center experience preferred
  • Possess superior report and letter writing skills to ensure clear and comprehensive communication
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to interact with clients, claimants, and other stakeholders
  • Possess above-average computer skills to efficiently navigate claims management software and databases
  • Work effectively as a team player, collaborating with colleagues to achieve successful claim outcomes
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is a plus, enhancing communication abilities with Spanish-speaking claimants

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle a diverse calls of transportation claims efficiently
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities within specified deadlines
  • Must have the ability to work with and support the team
  • Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with industry regulations to uphold the reputation and integrity of the insurance organization
  • Continuous learning and adaptation to stay updated with the latest transportation industry trends, best practices, and legal developments

  • Prior experience is required

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is an office-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates from a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
