The Legend at Brandybrook is Hiring a Sous Chef Near Hartland, WI

Position Overview:

The Sous Chef position at The Legend Clubs is a pivotal role within our culinary team. Responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a diverse array of dishes, the Sous Chef also contributes to menu creation, oversees kitchen operations, and assists in staff training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of foods to meet Club standards.
  • Create new menus frequently and develop plating guidelines and prep lists.
  • Supervise and train culinary staff members, including new hires.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper care of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Ensure quantity and quality of food meets Club standards.
  • Conduct inventory and order specialty food products as needed.
  • Properly store, label, and date all food products.
  • Receive and inspect incoming food materials and supplies.
  • Directly supervise cooks and dishwashers, ensuring efficient kitchen operation.
  • Assist with setting up serving lines, buffets, and live stations.
  • Demonstrate patience, courtesy, and tact in all interactions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a wide variety of dishes.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in menu planning and development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum five years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.

Minimum two years of experience in a private country club setting.

Sanitation certificate within three (3) months of hire (Serve Safe).

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
