Development Coordinator

In some of our partner districts, we embed Holdsworth consultants to work hand-in-hand with central office leaders to define what great leadership looks and help them build custom solutions to identify and develop future campus leaders, place them in leadership roles and support them as they progress in their leadership journey.

Purpose & Responsibilities

The Development Coordinator, reporting to the Development Manager, will play a critical role in supporting our growing development efforts, supporting the management of our Salesforce CRM database, supporting logistics for special events, and assisting with donor stewardship. The Development Coordinator will also play a key role in prospect management and research in support of fundraising growth and sustainability.

About the Position:

  • In partnership with the Development and IT teams, oversee and manage the fundraising portion of Salesforce CRM to support reporting, appeals, events, and major gift fundraising. 
  • Perform key database functions, including data management, data entry and cleaning, moves management/proposal calendaring, research, and reporting.
  • Support annual fundraising strategies, including annual appeals, giving circles, and events, by developing strong processes, reporting, and engagement. 
  • Become the Development team’s CRM ‘superuser’ by thoroughly learning and understanding our Salesforce CRM, continuous learning on the job or externally, and documenting processes.
  • Utilizing project management software (Asana), develop detailed operational plans and enter/update tasks in projects to support annual fundraising and event planning.
  • Support logistics around regular donor cultivation/stewardship events, including friends group events, board and volunteer hosted events, etc. 
  • Support the execution of stewardship initiatives aimed at sustaining and enhancing donor engagement, including the accurate and timely processing of donations, the proper recognition of sponsors and donors, and the review of gift policies to ensure consistent standards around gifts received.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation with the finance department to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of donations, grants, and other revenue sources, maintaining meticulous records and resolving discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Identify improvements in processes and workflow and support the design and implementation of new systems
  • Work with talented, mission-driven peers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in an office environment required
  • A deep understanding of donor management software, Salesforce a plus
  • Experience working in a non-profit or educational institution is a plus
  • A basic understanding of data analytics allows the Development Coordinator to extract valuable insights from donor data, aiding in strategic decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, expert skills in Excel a plus
  • Strong customer service and servant leadership skills
  • Organized and with a high attention to detail
  • Displays the ability to be proactive in working to resolve problems by using critical thinking skills
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to operate with discretion
  • Excellent at multi-tasking and time management

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $57,000 - $66,000 
  • Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including but not limited, to your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The Holdsworth Center also factors internal pay equity in evaluating compensation.
  • This position is eligible to participate in company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short-term and long-term disability coverage, four-weeks of paid time off annually, employee assistance program, participation in a 401k program that includes a company match, and many other additional benefits. 

Location 

Austin or surrounding areas. Must be able to be at the Campus on Lake Austin several days a week (and occasional weekends) as needed. Must be able to travel (up to 20%) for events.
