As one of NYC’s leading specialty tea providers, The Hideout Chai Bar is seeking like-minded baristas and hospitality professional to join our growing team. The Hideout’s unique brewing approach provides an unrivaled variety of some of the best teas around the world. We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic baristas that continue to be excited and have a strong desire to keep learning and growing in tea. We offer extensive training in barista skills, sensory development, general tea knowledge, customer service, and hospitality.
Part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities:
– Welcome all customers with warm hospitality
– Maintain rigorous quality standards and stay within parameters set by our Head Barista.
– Maintain work area and equipment to a high degree of cleanliness
– Participate in tastings to remain knowledgeable about our products
– Flexibly work across multiple fields
Requirements:
– Passion for providing an exceptional hospitality experience
– An enthusiastic love of tea or willingness to learn
– Detail-oriented and reliable
– Proven ability to multitask and prioritize
– NYC Food Handlers Permit (or willing to obtain one after hire)
– Open and flexible availability.
