Job Summary:
The Pret Barista forms an integral part of a collaborative shop team, ensuring adherence to Pret's drink quality standards and providing exceptional service with the renowned Pret "Buzz." Responsibilities encompass maintaining the drink counter, optimizing cleanliness, delivering excellent service, and imparting training.
Responsibilities:
Barista Prepared Drinks Training:

• Coach and train Team Member Star and Baristas-in-training on Barista Prepared Drinks and standards.
• Collaborate with management to organize and execute Barista Prepared Drinks training.
• Conduct coffee team briefings and attend relevant meetings and courses related to Barista Prepared Drinks.
• Maintain and update hot drinks training materials.
• Adhere to Pret's dress code, impeccably presenting yourself in the correct uniform.

Creating Pret Buzz - Amazing Service:

• Positively engage with customers and the team, sharing Pret’s Coffee Story and Coffee Menu to cultivate Pret Buzz.
• Serve Barista Prepared Drinks within 60-second standards, with transparent communication when exceptions arise.
• Demonstrate latte art expertise, wowing customers with exceptional presentations.

Excellent Barista Prepared Drinks Quality & Knowledge:

• Craft all Barista Prepared Drinks adhering to Pret standards.
• Exemplify a profound understanding of coffee and maintain knowledge of Pret’s Barista Prepared Drinks and guidelines.

Barista Prepared Drinks Counter Operation, Cleanliness & Maintenance:

• Sustain Barista Prepared Drinks equipment and Barista box in line with Pret standards, performing daily and weekly checks.
• Approach the Barista Prepared Drinks counter from a customer's perspective, maintaining cleanliness throughout operations.
• Execute log checks, thermometer calibration, and dribble tests as per Pret standards.

Barista Prepared Drinks Waste Control:

• Manage Barista Prepared Drinks ingredients to control waste levels.
• Address stock variance and waste-related matters for Barista Prepared Drinks in consultation with your Manager.

Maximizing Barista Prepared Drinks Sales:

• Set a weekly sales target and share it with the team.
• Understand your shop's Barista Prepared Drinks sales in relation to total sales and product mix.
• Utilize promotional waste to sample and acknowledge loyal customers with appropriate drink volume through Joy of Pret initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a barista or in a similar coffee-focused role is preferred.
• Strong passion for coffee and exceptional customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and quality.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
