Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain client files and documents
- Manage document management systems and databases
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- File documents with courts or other relevant agencies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using document management systems and other office software
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus
