Job Title: Program Director
Department: Residential Services
Location: Herkimer
FLSA Status: Exempt

Educational Requirements: B.A. in related field, or 6 years working in supportive housing and supervising residential staff.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with Young Adult population preferred.
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Essential Position Functions:
· Responsible for safe operation of the Herkimer Residence: a 53 unit low-income housing program, consisting of 20 adults with history of homelessness, 20 Young Adults aging out of foster care as well as family units from the community. Available on call 24/7.
· Responsible for supervision of staff, and developing an environment that recognizes the effects of trauma on behavior. Able to motivate staff to use CPI and verbal de-escalation skills to manage crises. Ensure that services are client determined and driven. Oversee the development and execution of on-site programming.
· Ensure program is prepared for successful OMH and LITC audits and reviews.
· Responsible for all required reporting including but not limited to Bridge managerial reports, OMH Young adult report and running AWARDS reports to ensure staff are meeting service delivery requirements.
· Attend meetings as requested
· Other duties as required
Essential Position Functions:
· Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written; knowledge of AWARDS; commitment to Trauma Informed services and experience with adults with SPMI and co-occurring disorders. Clear understanding of OMH Supported Housing Guidelines and experience with successful LITC management.
· Excellent time management skills; stress resistant, flexible; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; team player; open to feedback; creative; willingness to perform CPR/First Aid/AED/CPI/Naloxone.
· Preferred experience with mental health and substance abuse, and significant experience with crisis intervention and managing trauma triggered behaviors. Strong Motivational Interviewing skills and commitment to wellness based programming.
