Texas MedClinic is Hiring a Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator Near San Antonio, TX
The Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of the Facilities department that includes but is not limited to supporting the affiliates security program and administrative purchasing as well as performing maintenance to the interior and exterior of the facility. Project work, coordinating preventative maintenance and vendor relationships will be a large function of this position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage, administer, and organize projects in cooperation with the Operations and Project Management teams, under the Property Operations Manager.
Support the development of the preventative maintenance strategy and help to operationalize that strategy throughout the facility lifecycle.
Conduct facility inspections to ensure clinics are compliant to company standards and OSHA requirements.
Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs to office buildings and/or clinics - including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, lightbulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, installation of new equipment, etc.
Responsible for managing work orders and responding to requests.
Work with vendors to coordinate annual testing and ongoing preventative maintenance programs (HVAC, backflow preventers, fire suppression systems, etc.).
Support security program throughout all clinics (camera monitoring, badge access, etc.).
Assist in maintaining the exterior of the property to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times.
Assist with the request for proposal process and other cost saving initiatives.
Assist in preparing operating budgets in accordance with company objectives:
Work with staff to adhere to spending parameters.
Determines cost-effective solutions to repairs.
Assists with preparation of re-forecasts as required.
Provides accurate reports detailing repairs and costs.
Identifies repair needs, addresses safety issues and compliance, and evaluates overall conditions.
Manages the hiring of service contractors:
Establishes positive relationships and communications with vendors.
Solicits bids and negotiates price.
Schedules and supervises special projects.
Overall responsibility for facility systems:
Timers
Facility Management Systems
Irrigation controllers
Water Softener Systems
Responsible for oversight of required city and state inspections, renewals, and certifications
Oversee landscape management: mowing, edging, weeding, and new installation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
This is a service-oriented position and always requires a strong service-orientation in all interactions with employees.
Effectively models problem-solving and organizational skills to aid in the resolution of issues in a timely manner.
Ability to work as a team member.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to take initiative and make independent decisions while working with limited supervision.
Moderate understanding of architecture, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
Be organized, detail oriented, and adapt to expanding workloads.
Be able to organize time and tasks effectively and complete projects timely.
Must have working knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment across all disciplines.
Maintains a safe work environment, prevent accidents, operate equipment safely, in accordance with OSHA Standards.
Compliance with OSHA standards
Must have basic handheld and power tools.
Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required Experience: A minimum of 4 years related experience. Proficient in computer skills, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
