Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Specialist for a 503A Pharmacy to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including cleaning, organizing, and assisting with general maintenance duties as needed. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently to maintain a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Dust and wet mopping in designated areas including the entry, main area, break room, hallways, sterile entry room, and offices.
- Collect trash from offices, cubicles, break rooms, and any other areas throughout the building.
- Clean the break room thoroughly, including wiping down tables, counters, sinks, refrigerators, and microwaves.
- Disinfect all frequently touched surfaces such as white counters and other areas where hands may come in contact.
- Clean the front glass door and glass surfaces on the front entry counter.
- Ensure the availability of shoe covers by filling them as needed throughout the shift.
- Wipe down cubicle desks and stainless steel tables as required.
- Assemble any items received for staff use.
- Sweep the warehouse area to maintain cleanliness.
- Receive incoming shipping boxes and distribute them to the appropriate department shelves.
- Sweep the shipping area and dock both inside and outside.
- Perform cleaning duties in bathrooms and break rooms throughout the shift.
- Assist warehouse staff with tasks as needed.
- Place orders for cleaning supplies to ensure continuous availability.
- Maintain a clean and clear work area throughout the shift.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in janitorial or maintenance roles preferred.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
