Altium is Hiring a FACILITIES COORDINATOR Near San Antonio, TX

Position Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator position ensures smooth operations and maintenance of the corporate campus by performing minor repairs and coordinating and managing maintenance schedules. The Facilities Coordinator ensures building security, communicates with users about issues and events, and spearheads safety and emergency preparedness plans.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs minor repairs.
  • Aids with setting up equipment for users throughout the building and manages building and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Examines rooms and furnishings to determine whether they require repairs or renovations.
  • Identifies facility needs and coordinates and manages complex/specialized maintenance and repair activities with subcontractors.
  • Ensures all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
  • Responds to urgent maintenance calls.
  • Manages equipment and supply needs, including furniture, telecommunications, kitchen appliances, office equipment and supplies, and climate control.
  • Supervises cleaning crews and maintenance workers.
  • Obtains proposals and quotes from vendors, negotiates for best value, and coordinates with Purchasing and Accounts Payable for purchase orders and payments.
  • Identifies cost-effective solutions in all activities while maintaining quality and timeliness, including coordinating facility activities like general repairs, maintenance, construction, and relocations.
  • Monitors maintenance budget spending.
  • Tests building security systems and promotes safety within the building.
  • Notifies building users of issues and events, controls building access, and administers keys and entrance cards.
  • Creates and disseminates an evacuation plan, coordinates building safety drills, and participates in the creation of action plans for emergencies.
  • Documents processes and keeps maintenance records.
  • Searches for and recommends new ideas forservices and appliances to help with operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or other related software.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and emergencies effectively.
Work Environment:
  • Office environment with onsite work required.
  • Exposure to cleaning supplies, paints, or other materials used in maintenance and repairs required.
  • Exposure to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems required.
  • Potential exposure to dust, heat and cold.
  • May work in confined spaces.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and navigate active work sites.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
