Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Senior Executive Assistant - Human Resources Near Houston, TX

Job Summary

We are searching for a Senior Executive Assistant— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform a variety of complex, confidential duties requiring the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in the Office of the Senior Vice President (SVP).

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a problem solver and decision maker and enables the Executive and team to be more efficient.
  • Juggles multiple, high priority issues in a professional, courteous manner on an on-going daily basis.
  • Coordinates and accurately maintains the SVP’s daily appointment calendar. Makes alternative arrangements with conflicts of scheduling.
  • Coordinates a variety of tasks, events, or special projects in support of Executive’s function and department.
  • May work with other project team members to prepare documentation, communicate to team, and provide timely support to staff or team members to help achieve the goals of the project.
  • Coordinates and finalizes registration to various conferences. Maintains up to date list of annual LP meetings and institutional conferences.
  • Establishes and maintains professional and amicable relationship with Board members, Executives, medical staff, hospital personnel and outside vendors responding promptly concerning inquires and requests for information, as well as coordinating appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintains the SVP’s procurement card by tracking all expenditures and verifying receipts. Balances report with receipts and bank statement on a monthly basis through WORKS.
  • Provides Accounting with a complete and balanced copy of all statements and receipts with proper approvals. Responsible for handling all discrepancies, returns and/or credits.

Qualifications

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • 7 Years Secretarial Experience Required
  • Medical And College Background Preferred
    • College coursework may be substituted on a year-for-year basis:• Associate’s degree may count for 2 years of experience• Bachelor’s degree for 4 years of experience• Master’s degree for 6 years of experience
