Overview:
Commercial swimming pool company looking for an Operations Director / Area Manager to help us grow our quickly expanding presence in Dallas/Ft. Worth region. Position includes both field work and sales/customer relations to start.
Director of Operations Duties Include:
-Oversee team of 1-5 employees, ensuring work completed is up to standard.
-Create a positive work atmosphere and company dynamic within team.
-Clean commercial pools as needed, until cleaning staff is sufficient to handle.
-Training of new employees on company standards, use of equipment, chemicals, etc
-Visiting clients on a weekly basis to ensure proper care of client's commercial pools
-Troubleshooting, diagnosing and providing info to ownership for estimates regarding commercial pool contracts, repairs and equipment.
-Complete small equipment repairs as needed, including pumps, main drains, filter changes, etc.
-Working with upper management to provide info/sells for new clients and repair jobs
-Attend professional/networking events with ownership, as well as independantly, as needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience in the aquatics industry: cleaning, chemical management, repair diagnostics and repair completion.
-Experience managing staff or team members.
-Experience managing a pool route
-Experience in sales and customer service, with professionalism and high level of ethics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management or a similar role
-In-depth knowledge of pools and how they operate
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team of employees
-Able to adhere to successful time management
-Clean Texas driver's license with more than 5 years driving history
