We are seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager for our Oakland, CA operations. (We are also looking to hire someone in Bothell, WA. Please apply specfically to that position if interested).

The selected candidate will:

• Work with federal, state, and or local government on planned and emergency response projects nationwide.

• Support investigation and remediation for CERCLA and/or RCRA sites.

• Prepare, implement, and oversee cost estimates, progress reports, staffing, and invoicing.

• Manage multiple projects dealing with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc.)

• Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental site assessments

• Prepare various sized technical reports (phase I and II, remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality)

• Plan project elements such as review, analyze, integrate, interface and coordinate federal, state, local, and regional contingency and emergency response plans, and protocols.

• Supervise staff, provide expert guidance, recommendations, protocols, technologies, equipment, materials, and personnel for implementing projects.

• Responsible for the compliance of health and safety protocols for projects and work sites. This includes but not limited to human health risk and exposure assessments, ecological risk assessments and the ability to implement and perform mitigation measures and services.

• Determine federal, state and local environmental laws and statutes for projects.

• Manage a heavy workload with multiple project teams.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years’ experience and knowledge of federal, state and local hazardous materials, hazardous waste and occupational health and safety regulations. In addition, you will also have / be:

• Proficient technical writer in the preparation of various sized technical reports (phase I and II, remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality)

• Strong leadership and ability to mentor those with less experience to build a successful team.

• Experience preparing a variety of technical reports including technical specifications, health and safety plans, air sampling plans, survey plans, and oversight reports.

• Experience providing on-site third-party oversight of abatement contractors, including assessing compliance with regulations, conducting visual clearance, and collecting air clearance samples.

• Survey experience – AHERA, renovation/demolition, emergency response/recovery (ex wildfires, floods, hurricanes, hazmat spills etc.), condition assessments,

• Experience developing work scopes and preparing proposals.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor those with less experience to build a successful team.

• Problem solving and management skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with colleges, clients, project teams, contractors and sub-contractors.

• Highly motivated, client focused, and works well in a team environment.

The Salary Range for this position is $67,000 - $105,000 depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
