As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will lead critical commercial construction projects at Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, TX. You'll be working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with end users, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering while tracking the project schedule and overall success.
- Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, solve problems and prioritize execution
- Ability to evaluate construction drawings, create biddable work packages, and validate contractor bids against cost/schedule estimates
- Evaluate, negotiate and process change orders, submittals and RFIsProvide clear, concise direction to trades helping prioritize efficient build-out
- Coordinate with the trades to sequence work adequatelyTroubleshoot, walk down, and resolve issues that arise from the field
- Quickly respond to queries and resolve any technical barriers to completion
- 10 years of experience managing construction projects in large manufacturing/industrial environments
- Degree in Construction Management, or equivalent
- Background in Commercial Construction, familiar with code compliance and building occupancy
- Understands interdependent utility integration, e.g., completed wet-mech systems including installed, wired, and calibrated devices
- Scope Familiarity:Wet Mechanical (piping)Dry Mechanical (ductwork)Process (piping and instrumentation)Life Safety (fire suppression and alarm)
- Confident in decision making ability and coordinating among key stakeholders
- Project will require long hours, looking for ambitious and tenacious team members
