The Director of Human Resources serves as a key member of the Management Team and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Tenet Florida Physician Services with a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional Director, Human Resources in Florida. The Director of Human Resources oversees a Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Generalist, Recruiting Manager and Recruiter in TFPS.
Responsibilities
The Director of Human Resources has the primary responsibility for assessing, planning, directing, implementing and evaluating all HR activities.
The Director will supervise the HR activities of individuals who provide local HR support, e.g
The Director implements and adheres to corporate and facility personnel policies and procedures. The Director acts as an employee advocate with current approaches to the administration of human resources guidelines, applies principles of human resources management through knowledge of EEOC, federal and state labor laws and ADA requirements, and has responsibility for benefits administration, labor relations and file management.
The Director assists in providing department directors and managers with continued guidance in the area of employee relations, maintains current knowledge of human resources related legislation and takes ownership for communicating changes to management and staff as appropriate.
The Director of Human Resources has responsibility for setting department mission and vision.
The Director also has responsibility for assisting with counseling and disciplinary action when necessary, overseeing the development and maintenance of an ongoing Performance Improvement Program and communicating and collaborating with other staff for problem identification and resolution.

The successful Director of Human Resources will develop team momentum; display tact and diplomacy in all occasions; keep well informed of new legislation affecting the workplace; maintain a poised demeanor in tough situations; build organizational harmony; demonstrate productive and efficient management techniques; and excel in identifying and controlling critical cost elements, thereby promoting quality awareness and achieving the highest standard of excellence. Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred.
