Summary of Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for providing and ensuring that their team provides the highest level of customer service to corporate and field office employees. The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for the day to day supervision and development of the members of their team. The Accounts Payable Lead also acts as an escalation point for their team and office issues. Qualities include building team relationships, developing employees, conflict resolution, professionalism, the ability to employ the TEKsystems’ communication model as appropriate, and the ability to adapt to changes in the workplace. Responsible for ensuring payables are processed accurately and timely in order to provide accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 

• Supervise Payables Associates while ensuring proper policy adherence
• Responsible for bi-weekly team development meetings
• Responsible for continued measurement of Payable Associates’ goals and job responsibilities
• Ensure payables are processed promptly and accurately for month end reporting
• Responsible for weekly/monthly reporting to track workload, spending, and identify potential payment and coding issues
• Maintain Corporate Credit Card and Hotel Credit Card coding for accuracy
• Provide support to internal and external customers by gathering accurate information to diagnose issues, explain procedures, provide supporting documents and follow up for resolutions
• Review expense reports for coding, documentation, and compliance
• Maintain approval workflow for internal expenses
• Create training materials for end users
• Assisting with vendor setup process with W8 and W9 vendors
• Experience with wire payments with multiple currencies
• Experience with approving daily positive pay exceptions and ACH/EFT returns
• Assist with implementing new processes and software
• Ad-hoc tasks as required by management

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

•  3 or more years of AP experience
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong management skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, PeopleSoft and Concur experience
