Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and personable IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop environments and have a proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. With your excellent interpersonal skills, you will provide both remote and on-site support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical support for Windows desktop environments, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software and hardware.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to diagnose issues and deliver solutions, enhancing client satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain and update documentation of client systems and IT processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline support processes.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience working with multiple clients within an MSP environment. Experience from contracting for a staffing agency does not meet this requirement.
  • Strong expertise in desktop support and troubleshooting for Windows 10/11 and Mac OS.
  • Windows: Describe your approach to troubleshooting a blue screen of death.
  • Mac: How would you address a persistent "beach ball" delay?
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook:
  • Outlook: Explain the process for resolving issues with emails stuck in the outbox.
  • Excel: Describe the steps involved in troubleshooting a slow-running Excel plugin.
  • Word: Detail the process of retrieving a document using the autosave feature.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mobile devices, including iPhones and Android devices, with a focus on email synchronization, iMessage, and iCloud issues.
  • iPhone: Describe the steps you would take to seamlessly replace an old iPhone with a new one, ensuring the user only notices the hardware upgrade.
  • Ability to demystify tech jargon for diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of cloud, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client-oriented service.
  • Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
  • Requirement: Candidates must reside in or be willing to commute daily to the New York City metro area to ensure timely on-site support as needed. This is necessary due to the need for quick onsite responses and frequent physical presence at our client locations.
