Regional Distribution Center Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, dock processes, and shipping
• Review and prepare workflow, labor and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Daily communication/coordination direct reports and Management to establish an action plan to tackle the workload for the day and week
• Abide by all company policies and ensure direct reports are in line with all policies
• Manage a team of 1-5 direct reports and over 50 indirect reports
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Delegate workload to employees as needed in order to most effectively accomplish all tasks
• Effective labor planning to minimize or eliminate overtime
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
• Drives warehouse effectiveness and efficiency improvements with data-based analysis and best practice
• Develop tactics and strategies to drive performance in inbound, outbound and quality programs
• Analysis of returns and erroneous shipments and conducting root cause analyses to correct issue moving forward
• Analyze existing business processes and identify areas of improvement
• Troubleshooting system issues impacting orders that need to ship
• General exception management and issue resolution
• Escalation to leadership team when appropriate
• Provide additional support to Corporate DC team as needed
• Tracking critically identified shipments with ability to provide truck status to stores or Merchandising as needed
• Building and maintaining relationships with key relevant parties from various departments
• Collaborating with cross functional teams to resolve issues and provide solutions
• Communicate with Merchandisers and Store Management to improve business process workflow
• Provides daily/weekly/monthly management reporting as needed
• Working with Supervisors and Managers to develop and maintain critical job relevant SOPs
• Identifying and developing solutions for improvements in process and communication between departments
• Training and providing support for new employees

Requirements:

• 5 years minimum warehouse management experience
• Experience operating an electric pallet jack and forklift is preferred
• Willing to work occasionally in environmental temperature ranges from 32° to 50°F
• Able to frequently carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work at flexible schedules (weekends & holidays)
• Bilingual in English/Chinese is Preferred

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Location: 8660 N. Eldridge, Houston, TX 77041
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5:30 PM, Weekend OT if necessary.
• Salary: The pay range for this job is between $90,000 / Yr. - $100,000 / Yr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
