Location: The Human Resource Intern will join our dedicated HR team for the summer in this full time, paid internship. This will be a remote internship; qualified candidates should reside in the continental US and e comfortable working eastern standard working hours.
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour.
The Internship: Join us as a HR Intern at Taconic Biosciences, where you'll contribute to enhancing HR processes and communications while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Collaborate with HR leadership on projects spanning job descriptions, benefits administration, data integrity, and recruitment efforts, ensuring compliance and accuracy while fostering a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Take advantage of networking opportunities within our global organization and showcase your skills in an end-of-summer presentation, offering exposure to leadership and a comprehensive understanding of HR functions.
A HR Intern can expect to:

• Job Descriptions: collaborate with the Director of HR to aid in a job description project, learning about the importance of compliance and accuracy of formal job descriptions for a company with federal reporting requirements, while gaining hands-on experience.
• Benefits: collaborate with the compensation and benefits department to gain hands-on experience in various areas including payroll, leave, onboarding, company intranet communications, and more.
• Data Integrity: to aid in data integrity you will learn about the importance of privacy, data accuracy, and get a hands-on opportunity to work on an HR audit.
• Recruitment: Partner with the global recruitment team and marketing to ensure Taconic’s commitment to DEIB is well represented on the external career page.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned, providing a diverse learning experience and exposure to various aspects of Human Resources.
• Network within our global organization.
• Participate in an end of summer presentation on the knowledge and skills you’ve obtained, with provided exposure to leadership.

Eligibility:

• Must be enrolled in an academic program in pursuit of an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD or be graduating Spring 2024. Degrees in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of HR principles and practices is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
