Location: The Document Control Administrator Intern will join our dedicated Quality team for the summer in this full time, paid internship. This will be a remote internship; qualified candidates should reside in the continental US.
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour.
The Internship: Our mission in Document Control is to ensure the accurate, secure, and efficient management of Quality Management System documents. We are committed to establishing and maintaining robust document control processes and systems that facilitate collaboration, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all departments.
As a Document Control Administrator Intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining Taconic’s electronic document management system (EDMS). Throughout this internship, you will be immersed in the management of the documentation lifecycle, from creation and revision to approval, release, and obsolescence. This role provides a unique chance to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, where you'll learn to prioritize tasks, resolve discrepancies, and provide invaluable support to end-users. A Document Control Administrator Intern can expect to:- Take an active role in maintaining and supporting Taconic’s electronic document management system (EDMS), where you'll learn firsthand about document creation, revision, approval, and obsolescence processes.
- Gain experience as a system administrator for the EDMS, assisting in the creation and updating of user accounts, and ensuring proper role assignment and training, providing valuable insights into system management.
- Provide hands-on support and training to end-users on navigating the electronic document management system and associated procedures, honing your communication and teaching skills.
- Learn the essentials of document formatting to ensure compliance and consistency within the Quality Management System, developing a keen eye for detail and adherence to standards.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with multiple departments to prioritize tasks, gather feedback for process improvement, and offer personalized training where needed, fostering teamwork and adaptability.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned, providing a diverse learning experience and exposure to various aspects of document administration and organizational dynamics.
- Network within our global organization.
- Participate in an end of summer presentation on the knowledge and skills you’ve obtained, with provided exposure to leadership.
Eligibility:- Must be enrolled in an academic program in pursuit of an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD or be graduating Spring 2024. Degrees in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
