Syrinx is Hiring a Product Manager Near Boston, MA

We are in the midst of a large-scale operational transformation across a variety of mobility initiatives and transportation partnerships, using channels including responsive web, native mobile apps, and in-vehicle telematics technology. We manage large-scale, distributed, global car sharing fleets with convenient self-service reservations and vehicle access. Our technology is our secret sauce. We need a passionate and strategic product leader who can help to define a vision for the future of our technology platform and lead the strategy towards that vision.
As a Senior Product Manager, what will you be doing?
  • Help define the vision and strategy of our mobility platform.
  • Cultivate a deep knowledge of user problems through live field observation, interviewing, and other user research approaches.
  • Synthesize user feedback, stakeholder feedback, insights from data, and other product inputs to establish future direction.
  • Prioritize customer problems and envision prototypes and solutions with UX, technical leads, and other key team members.
  • Communicate problem statements and product (solution) requirements to engineering and document them in writing.
  • Embed yourself within the delivery team of business stakeholders, UX, and engineering to make trade-offs, steward the delivery process, and close gaps in requirements.
  • Influence critical technology decisions made among senior technology and operational leaders across the company.
What kind of person are you?
  • Product visionary: You know what a good product looks like and can articulate your vision to others to help inspire and focus.
  • Empathetic for users: You love getting out of the building and learning about customers problems and needs. Since this is a product used, in part, by developers, you can put yourself in their shoes using skills like writing SQL, shell scripting to hit API endpoints, and technical prototype development.
  • Passionate about solving critical problems: You cut through all of the noise to stay focused on the most significant problem.
  • An inspiring communicator: You not only communicate to convey information, but also to inspire and guide the entire business.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker: You love discussing strategy with your colleagues, but you know that talk is cheap and are constantly testing key assumptions using data and research.
  • Gets stuff done: You foster strong team dynamics and are passionate about delivering successful solutions to user problems.
  • Have curiosity and motivation to learn: You invite critical feedback and proactively seek out any new information that will help prepare you for your next challenge.
As a member of our team you get a great benefits package including health and dental insurance, 401k, vacation time, paid holidays, personal and sick leave, along with a full complement of other insurance and support programs. Because our work has a global impact, we enthusiastically support each employee’s commitment to creating a better world by offering:
  • Paid volunteer time off
  • Bicycle commuter reimbursement
  • Paid parental leave
  • Training and development programs to accelerate career growth
  • Global footprint of job locations and opportunities
  • Flexible and open work arrangements
  • Fun, respectful, passionate, and collaborative environment
  • Educational Assistance Program
  • Company sponsored parties, outings, and events
