About the role
We are in search of an accomplished and hands-on Vice President of Communications to spearhead the development of our corporate communications function at Syndio. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing customer, external, and internal Communications, with a distinctive focus on establishing the foundational structure and resources for customer communications plans and delivery. We are seeking an individual with a unique ability to eloquently translate company narratives into compelling storytelling that deeply resonates with an array of stakeholders and thought leaders, ranging from executive leadership and influencers to policymakers, investors, media, and beyond. The ideal candidate will leverage their exceptional writing skills to craft and implement integrated corporate communications strategies, positioning Syndio as the forefront leader in workplace equity technology—a critical capability embraced by the world's foremost managed businesses.

Customer Communications:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at strategic customer accounts, including senior leadership, their Communications teams, and our direct buyers and lead users to inform our strategy and training for Customer Communications
  • Engage our top customers to conceive, build and effectively execute communications plans and change management initiatives that have organizational impact
  • Stand up scalable customer communications plan and delivery, including creating and executing training for all customer-facing Syndio team members so they can deliver communications package
  • Include ongoing management of plan & delivery model; staying on top of changing dynamics to support design

External Communications:

  • Develop and execute high-impact communication strategies across a broad range of external stakeholders to build awareness and understanding of Syndio's business, products and thought leadership
  • Partner with key members of Marketing to translate our corporate positioning as the leader in Workplace Equity Tech for press and media relations
  • Leverage relationships at strategic customer accounts to illustrate corporate positioning in the press
  • Own the strategy, execution, measurement, and optimization of earned media, and manage external agency relationships
  • Own all awards submissions, earned speaking opportunities, and byline strategy
  • Craft narratives to articulate business strategies and curate editorial news flow and content across channels.
  • Elevate the voice of the CEO and other key leaders through media interviews, speaking opportunities, and social media engagement. Act as an advisor and coach, ensuring a polished, consistent delivery across channels.

Internal Communications:

  • Form strong, collaborative relationships across Syndio to provide strategic counsel and develop and implement communications strategies that support priorities.
  • Design and implement strategic internal communication programs that create clarity, confidence and connection to our strategy; and build our brand and thought leadership in equity tech.
  • Embody our Syndio values and ensure they're reflected in all of our communications
About you
  • You have 10 years in public relations or corporate communications
  • You are strong with creative thinking with stellar written and verbal communication skills – particularly the ability to write clear and persuasive "human" content that engages a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You are experienced in developing and leading the execution of effective communication programs at the global enterprise level
  • You have a natural disposition to work with urgency and limited guidance.
  • You demonstrate a proven ability to establish trusted relationships at all levels.
  • You take initiative in leading projects and presenting new perspectives.
  • You have strong critical thinking capabilities and the ability to connect dots and leverage resources for the best outcome.
  • A solid grasp of narrative, awareness of audiences, exceptional attention to detail, and are a forward-thinking team player who works collaboratively.

  • Competitive Compensation. For this role our base salary is targeted at $220,000 - $275,000. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise. We take a geo neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.
